Mid Morning

Luke 13:10-13
A Crippled Woman Healed

10On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, 11and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. 12When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, "Woman, you are set free from your infirmity." 13Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

In yet another story of Jesus' healing power, it is easy to remember the happy ending where "immediately she straightened up praised God. " At times, is can be easy for us to question God by asking, "Why is it taking so long for Adam to be  healed?"

Let's not overlook the fact that the woman had been crippled for 18 years. Her healing was "immediate" only when God decided the time was right.

Oh, how I wish that we did not have to wait 18 more days. Yet, we might, and then some. I know that there are a number of people, who like myself, believe that God will restore Adam. Yet, it will be in God's timing,  now ours.

As you pray for Adam's healing, ask for patience. Patience for his family. Patience for all of us praying for Adam.

If Jesus conquered the grave, He can surely conquer Adam's injuries.
