Eve of Fasting: Let Them Pray

"Many men owe the grandeur of their lives to their tremendous difficulties."
~Charles Spurgeon

Adam and his family are facing tremendous difficulties. Let's continue our support for them. We will be uniting in prayer and fasting, tomorrow (Wednesday, December 1st). There is much to pray about, beginning with our "breakfast" post at 6:00 a.m. (Eastern). We will start the morning with a prayer of praise and thanksgiving.

As always, we would love for you to pray with us. Although encouraged, there is no requirement to fast. This week's posts may be somewhat abbreviated because of our family reunion, but we will be praying.

This evening, pray that the Holy Spirit would move many people to set aside time to pray for Adam, tomorrow.

James 5:13-16

13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Talk with you in the morning.

Breaking the Fast: You're Everything

1 Chronicles 29:13-14

13 Now, our God, we give you thanks,
and praise your glorious name.

14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.

Yes, God is our everything, and everything comes from God. Even our calls to minister. Even though we unite together one day a week, let's be diligent in our prayers for Adam's healing.

As verse 13 states, let's give God our thanks and praise His name — all week long.

Give thanks to God for the encouragement that Adam gave Amy, yesterday. And, pray for Mackenzie's back (which provided her with a lot of pain, yesterday). She will be getting further medical examination, today. Let's pray for a quick healing of that pain.

Remember, next week (Thanksgiving Eve), we will be praying, and posting songs of thanks. And, we might even get a photo of Adrienne and Hillary on the blog.

Have a blessed week!

Evening: Laugh, Think and Cry

I am very excited about the coming week. Tomorrow night, my daughter, Adrienne will be arriving from out of state with her husband and my two adorable grandkids. Then, Hillary arrives from Los Angeles, this weekend. God willing, all six of my kids will be here for Thanksgiving!

As many of you know, Adrienne and Hillary have posted to this blog (Hillary posted the lunch and dinner devotionals, today). This will be the first time that the three of us have been together since Adam's accident. We plan to fast and pray together, next Wednesday (Thanksgivng Eve). Most likely, it will be a 24-hour fast that ends on Wednesday evening. Because many of you will be busy spending time with your families, we will simply be posting songs of thanks next Wednesday. We don't expect a day-long commitment, but do hope that you can join us for some prayer.

I am ending our day of fasting a bit differently, this week As excited as I am for my wife and myself as we anticipate family together, my heart aches for the Root family. I pray that God would comfort them during the next week.

I encourage you to take a few minutes to assess your life, and your priorities. Tonight, I will not be turning to scripture, nor a worship song. Rather, I invite you to watch the Jimmy Valvano 1983 ESPY Awards speech. He delivered this inspiring speech shortly before dying from cancer. Thank you, Jerry Davis, for reminding of this with your Facebook post, this week.

A Full Day...

...Laugh
...Think
...Cry

...and pray. Pray for Adam and his family. Pray that all of Adam's family would keep their dreams alive.

Don't ever give up! Keep praying for Adam's full restoration!

(talk with you in the morning)

Dinner: His Love Never Fails

by Hillary Mortensen

I think this song, Your Love Never Fails by Jesus Culture, says it better than I can right now:

Nothing can separate
Even if I run away
Your love never fails
I know I still make mistakes
But You have new mercies for me everyday
Your love never fails

You stay the same through the ages

Your love never changes
There maybe pain in the night
But joy comes in the morning
And when the oceans rage
I don't have to be afraid
Beause I know that You love me
Your love never fails

The wind is strong and the water's deep

But I'm not alone in these open seas
Cause Your love never fails

The chasm is far too wide

I never thought I'd reach the other side
But Your love never fails

You make all things

Work together for my good

No matter what is going on in our lives, we can rest confidently knowing that God's love never fails. He is always good. All the time. Let's spend time this evening thanking Him for His unfailing love and goodness.

Lunch: Consecrate.

by Hillary Mortensen

As I think on what it means, I am overcome with a desire to live a life that is consecrated—dedicated, set apart, made holy, perfected, devoted, separated, made new, prepared—for God. Then, I consider how I'm not at that place. And that realization brings with it a deep sadness, but I have to wonder: Am I sad because I haven't been at that place, because I'm not willing to consecrate every area of my life to get there, or because I am already grieving the loss of letting go of the things that stand in the way? Or is it all three?

----------------

I spent this last weekend on a church retreat with “Consecrate” as the theme. Over the course of the weekend, I received a challenge to go “all in,” giving everything over to God, setting it all apart for Him. I sense God challenging me to surrender to Him a number of things, including work/career, a relationship, ideals of the world (like success) that I have unfortunately embraced, and my life as a whole.

Romans 12:1-2 was the theme passage. I particularly like this paraphrase from The Message:

So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

I began to consider how we can consecrate ourselves in regard to Adam and his condition. As the passage above describes, we can place ourselves—our lives, our bodies, our members—before God. We can embrace what God has done in and through all of us in this situation. We can avoid what the world might have us think, such as dependence on medicine or a spirit of defeat and hopelessness. We must fix our attention on God and allow Him to change us. If God would have us respond, as we are doing now in prayer and fasting, respond. Allowing a transformation of thought and mind allows us to discern the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. This, friends, is our “living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is [our] spiritual worship.” (See Romans 12:1-2, ESV)

Let us pray that we would present ourselves, our entire beings, before God. Ask him to reshape and rewire our thinking, that we would be transformed and develop the mind of Christ. Thank God for the work He has already done in growing us in maturity. Commit your life to the Lord as an act of worship.

Breakfast: Not Surprised

There has been a fair amount going on with Adam during the past week. It seems that he has made great progress recovering from his seizure, provided Amy with the "thumbs up" sign, and returned to Spaulding. I am thankful, but not surprised.

In the book of Acts, Peter explains why we shouldn't be surprised after the beggar was healed.

Acts 3:1-16

1 One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. 2 Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. 3 When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. 4 Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” 5 So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.

6 Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” 7 Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. 8 He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. 9 When all the people saw him walking and praising God, 10 they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

Peter Speaks to the Onlookers

11 While the man held on to Peter and John, all the people were astonished and came running to them in the place called Solomon’s Colonnade. 12 When Peter saw this, he said to them: “Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? 13 The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go. 14 You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. 15 You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this. 16 By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.

As I wrote last week (Just Believe), I am confident that we will see a day when Adam is restored. When that day comes, it will be the result of faith in Jesus Christ.

In Christ alone, my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song.

Please pray...

...thanks to God that Adam has returned to Spaulding.

...that Adam will gain back quickly any progress lost as the result of his stay at the hospital.

...that Adam would make huge leaps ahead in his recovery.

...other thanks and reqests as the Holy Spirit leads you.

Meet you at lunch time.

Eve of Fasting: I Can Do Something

This week, Adam's recovery from his accident reaches the six-month milestone. I believe that God called me to help Him rally prayer support for Adam, last May. There have been some people who have been faithful prayer warriors throughout the past six months, others who occasionally join in, those who "gave up" after a week or two, and those who have yet to join. Regardless, each prayer is important.

Does it matter if you jon us, tomorrow? Consider this quote:

"I am only one, but still I am one.
I cannot do everything, but still I can do something.
And because I cannot do everything,
I will not refuse to do the something that I can do."

I also ran across a different version of the same quote:

"I am only one, but I am one.
I cannot do everything, but I can do something.
What I can do, I should do and,
with the help of God, I will do."

  ~Edward Hale

Regardless of which version you prefer, what can you do? You are only one, right? Well...not really. When you join with us in prayer for Adam's healing, you are not only one. You are one of a number of people lifting Adam up to God for healing.

What you can do, you should. And, with the help of God, you will.

I know what I should do, Lord. I should praise you in this storm.

Can you take a little time out of your Wednesday to pray for Adam and his family? I think you can. Will you? With the help of God, you will.

Meet you in the morning as we fast and pray for Adam's healing.

Breaking the Fast: Great is the Lord

Psalm 145:1-3

  1 I will exalt you, my God the King;
I will praise your name for ever and ever.
2 Every day I will praise you
and extol your name for ever and ever.

  3 Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom.

Yesterday, I attempted a new spiritual excercise. When my alarm sounded, I repeated this William Carey quote to myself:

"Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God."

Our small group discovered this quote during the past week, and talked about it on Tuesday evening. So, I decided to give it a try on Wednesday morning. It definitely is a more positive way to start the morning! Because I am only human, I guess that I don't expect mountains to move everyday. My faith is not that great. However, it did shape my attitude for the day. Doug being more positive and relaxed is a "great thing!" And, I am looking for bigger things, ahead.

Anyway, I encourage you to give it a try during the next week. This morning, we can all try, together. Let's expect God to heal Adam. What you want to attempt, is between God and you.

A Prayer

"Dear God, You are great. One of the great things that You do is to forgive me of my sins. Thank you for that! As a forgiven sinner, I pray that you help me look for, and expect, great things from You. I also ask that You would provide me with the faith and courage to attempt great things for You.

Today, Lord, I am asking You to work a miracle. Like the Centurion in Matthew, I am faithfully asking, in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, that you would heal Adam Root. Father, restore Adam so that he can walk, talk, and praise You.

Lord, I know that the restoration of Adam's brain is in Your hands, and will take place according to Your timing. Yet, I ask, that even this week, Adam would make progress in his rehabilitation. I pray that he would respond to therapy in ways that would bring encouragement to his family.

I pray these things in Your name, Lord. Amen."

Thanks for praying with us, this week. We will meet up, again, next Tuesday evening.

Night: Who Am I?

If there was a theme to my posts, today, it was about our belief and God's faithfulness. The truth being that the the former is much less dependable than the latter. I know that I need to keep working on my belief in God's faithfulness. One way is to keep professing my belief. The other is to keep acknowledging God for who He is.

The reality is that I will fail over and over, again. God won't.

I am a flower quickly fading
    Here today and gone tomorrow...

...Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling

And, You've told me who I am
    I am yours.
    ~Who am I, Casting Crowns

Joshua 21:45

Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.

1 Kings 8:56

Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.

Pray

As we pray, this evening, let's thank God for who He is, despite what we have done. And, let's thank Him for what He has done, despite who we are.

Let's also thank God for bringing Adam this far on his journey to recovery. Thank the Lord for bringing Adam to Spaulding. Thank Him for providing for Amy and Mackenzie during the past six months. Thank God that we are His.

Thank God for other blessings in your life. Amen.

Let's meet in the morning. Good night.

Dinner: Just Believe

In my lunch-time post, I stated my belief in God's faithfulness. Was that a cop out? Was I using misdirection to speak of Adam and belief, but to end it with a belief in God's faithfulness, rather than God's healing of Adam?

The simple answer is....wait, is there a simple answer? I don't know. I lack the wisdom to know if the answer will be simple. What I believe is that a day is coming when Adam will be restored. I believe that God has provided me with this belief. What I cannot pretend to know is when or where.

The "when" might be in another year, like Jason Crigler. It might be sooner, or later.

The "where" might be Boston or it might be in Heaven. I don't know God's plans. I will expand on why I am leaning toward Boston, or another earthly location, rather than Heaven.

First, why did God lead me into this role? I am Adam's uncle. As with other nephews and nieces, there is a family relationship. However, I will be the first to admit that I am not close to Adam. Whether Adam was healthy or ill, happy or sad, doing well at work or struggling (in North Carolina) — I would not know, and it would not affect my life in Oregon. We would simply see each other at family gatherings. So, why would God ask me to start this blog?

The visions. I wrote in my previous post about visions by individuals who do not even know Adam. Two different believers spoke of Adam's healing and even a new ministry being born. Why? Why would people without a "vested interest" be called to speak about or pray for Adam's healing?

There have simply been signs that lead me to believe that Adam will be restored, here on earth. Again, I have no claim to inside information about God's plans, and I could be wrong, but I dare to believe that He has plans for Adam.

"Would you dare,
would you dare to believe

That you still have a
reason to sing?

'Cause the pain
that you've been feeling

It can't compare to
the joy that's coming"
~Before The Morning, Josh Wilson

Mark 5:36

Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”

Let's pray that neither Adam or his family would be afraid of the future, and continue to pray for both their and our belief in Adam's restoration. And, thank God for providing for Amy and Mackenzie in Boston.

Let's meet, again, later this evening (9:00 p.m.).

Lunch: I Still Believe...

...in Your faithfulness

Sometimes, it becomes difficult to believe that God is near. Right now, I don't feel that way, but it might be what you are thinking. If so, I don't have any quick fixes or easy answers. However, I do ask that you would still believe. Don't give up on God because He has not answered your prayers the way you would like for Him to.

I felt God was very near to me last May. I felt that He was calling me not only to pray for Adam's healing, but to encourage others to do the same. I was quick to "sign on" and obey the calling. Little did I know, that six months later, I would still be posting to this blog. Back in May, I had no idea that, nearly half a year later, I would be waiting for Adam to speak his first words.

I still believe.

When I called for a day of fasting and prayer, last May 19th, I had no idea that I would still be skipping meals in November.

I still believe.

Interesting things have happened over the past six months. People of faith, who do not know Adam, have had visions of his healing. Independently, two individualls have stated that he will be healed, but that it will be a "long time."

I still believe.

One of the individuals with two separate visions spoke of a ministry that would be created as a result of Adam's healing, and exhorted us to keep praying for his healing.

I still believe.

Then, when Adam's progress seemed nonexistent, he was accepted to Spaulding Rehab Hospital. I was (and am) encouraged by Spaldings' claim that "Remarkable recoveries happen every day at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. Our dedicated team of specialists help patients get back in action as soon as possible - often with astonishing results."

I still believe.

Then, I watched the Jason Crigler video

I still believe.

Amy reported new developments in Adam's progress.

I still believe.

Last week, Adam suffered a setback.

I still believe.

Regardless of what happens today, tomorrow, or next week, I still believe.

What do I believe in?

God's faithfulness.

Psalm 89:7-8

  In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared;
he is more awesome than all who surround him.
Who is like you, LORD God Almighty?
You, LORD, are mighty, and your faithfulness surrounds you.

Pray for belief. Pray it for Amy and Mackenzie. Pray it for Adam's parents — Jack and Cookie. Pray it for Adam's brothers — Ben, Brad, and Tristan. Pray it for all who are close to Adam. Pray it for each other — all of us who are united in fasting and prayer, today.

Talk to you at dinner time.

Breakfast: Strength Will Rise...

...as we wait upon the Lord

Isaiah 40:28-31

28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

A Prayer

"Dear Lord,

In our trials, Lord, you are doing and completing your work. Your work is in our hearts teaching us your lessons of love, forgiveness, patience, kindness, goodness, meekness and self control. You are purifying us! We often ask that you remove the trial from us and question why you don't? Perhaps your work is not completed as of yet. I will trust you in the trial and I will trust your timing as well. How Lord, can our minds possibly conceive of the work you are doing on our behalf? Today, I will give you thanks.

Amen."
~Good Morning Devotions, Debbie Griner

For Adam...

1. Pray for all the medical professionals caring for Adam. Ask God to provide them with wisdom, discernment, and compassion that they make decisions for Adam's care.

2. Pray that any infection would be treated properly and that it would be driven out Adam's body.

3. Pray that Adam will be able to return to Spaulding Rehab Hospital, soon, and that he will make great strides over the next week.

Let's unite together, again, at lunch time.

Eve of Fasting: A City On Our Knees

I have to believe that Adam's family has often felt like they have been in a fog for nearly six months. It is likely that the events of the past week have only thickened the fog. Mercifully, there is hope in the distance.

"Through the fog
there is hope in the distance...

...We can sail across the sea
to a city with one king.

Family, we're family
You and me...

If we gotta start somewhere
Why not here?

...If we gotta start sometime
why not now?

~City On Our Knees, tobyMac

Why not now? Tonight is the time to commit to praying for Adam, tomorrow. I hope that you'll join us. Together we can be a city our knees. Sinner or saint, "religious" or not, church attender or church avoider, we can come together to unite in prayer — for Adam, his family, and each other.

Tonight, pray that many would join our united day of fasting and prayer, tomorrow. We want God to hear a choir of voices that is lifting Adam up to Him for healing.

Acts 20:36

When Paul had finished speaking, he knelt down with all of them and prayed.

Breaking the Fast: Captured by Grace...

...And Embraced by God's Warmth

John 1:16-17

Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

On three ocassions, yesterday, I took short prayer breaks at work. I stood in the window and let the warm sun shine on me while talking with God. Each time, I thanked God for His grace.

Wrapped in Your mercy I want to live and never leave
I am held by how humble
Yet overwhelmed by Your majesty
Captured by grace and now I'm finding
I am free
You are marvelous God
And knowing You is everything
~Every Time I Breathe, Big Daddy Weave

As I walked back to my desk after one of the breaks, I told God that the heat from the sun felt like a warm embrace from Him. And, I really did not want to return to my desk. I wanted to stay in His warm embrace.

Every time I breathe You seem a little bit closer
I never want to leave
I want to stay in Your warm embrace
Oh basking in the glory shining from Your face
And every time I get another glimpse of Your heart
I realize it's true
That You are so marvelous God
And I am so in love with You
~Every Time I Breathe, Big Daddy Weave

As you can see, part of my experience with God, yesterday, is captured by Big Daddy Weave in the song, Every Time I Breathe.

Thank you for praying with us, yesterday. Although we go our separate ways until next week, keep praying for Adam's full recovery. Today, pray for Amy and Mackenzie as Mackenzie has her first meeting with the Child Life Specialist at Spaulding and Amy has Adam's first team meeting. Pray that God would guide both discussions.

We will reconvene next Tuesday evening. Until then...

...May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
~Romans 15:13

Night: God of Wonders

I continue to be amazed at the progress Adam is making (UH HUH!!!!!!!!!!!!). Praise the Lord, the God of Wonders!

Exodus 15:11

Who among the gods
  is like you, LORD?
Who is like you—
  majestic in holiness,
awesome in glory,
  working wonders?

Prayer Requests

God is working wonders in Adam. Thank you for your prayers. Amy mentioned these prayer requests, yesterday:

• Please continue to pray every day for Adam's speech and processing capabilities
• Pray that Adam will not require surgery in December
• Keep praying for Adam's FULL recovery.

Talk with you in the morning. Good night, and God bless.

Dinner: He Lifts Me Up

1 Peter 6:6-7

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Pray that Amy, Mackenzie, Jack, Cookie, Ben, Brad, Tristan, and other family members would cast their anxieties on God. Pray that when any of them get down, that God would lift them up.

One more post, later tonight (9:00 p.m. Eastern).

Lunch: Dealing with Doubt

Regular participants in our united day of prayer and fasting would notice my high level of optimism over the past couple weeks. I would characterize it not as optimism, but a confidence that God is working to restore Adam. I know that some of you are with me, while others have doubts. Maybe others are struggling somewhere in between. Regardless of where you are with regard to doubt, please use your "lunch break" to watch this video:

Jude 1:21-23

Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Be merciful to those who doubt;

Doubting Thomas

Don't forget that it is only human to have doubts. Even Thomas, one of Jesus' disciples had doubts that Jesus rose from the dead. He was the original "Doubting Thomas." Jesus was understanding as we see from these verses:

John 20:26-28

26A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 27Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."

28Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"

Breakfast: All Things are Possible

Good morning! Thanks for joining us, today, as we fast and pray for Adam and his family. If your circumstances do not allow you fast, please pray with us. Our regular routine is to replace our normal meal times with prayer, meditation, and scripture reading. We continue to pray for Adam's full recovery. At times, we pray for incremental improvements. When we do, it is with the belief that it is simply one step in the journey to a complete healing. We believe that with God, all things are possible.

Mark 10:27

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."

Let's all spend some quality time with God, today. For with Him, all things are possible, incuding Adam's healing.

Prayer Request

This is a recent prayer request from Amy:

Please continue to pray specifically for Adam's speech and the ability to process. He is so close to talking, even his speech therapists, Brooke, and Meredith, agree.

Eve of Fasting: Behold and Enjoy

“A man must render an account before God for all the good things he beheld, but didn’t enjoy.”
~Jerusalem Talmud

A friend of mine recently emailed this quote to me. It struck me as being a one-sentence sermon.

First, let's take a look at what it means to behold:

be·hold /bi'hōld/
Verb: See or observe (a thing or person, esp. a remarkable or impressive one):

There have been many times that I have neglected to enjoy something that God has allowed me to behold. Don't worry, I won't put you through the tedium of this laundry list of items! I will suggest, however, that we take time to enjoy the things that God has allowed us to see or observe (see Behold, again, by Jo Stern).

As we pray for Adam and fast, tomorrow is an opportunity for us to spend time beholding God and the blessings that He has provided. Of course, we can behold Him and His works any day (and we should). However, I have found that I spend more time beholding Him and His creation on Wednesdays than I do the other days of the work week. I must confess, however, that there have been days of our united prayer and fasting for Adam that I did not enjoy as much as others.

My challenge to myself is that I would spend time enjoying those things that I behold, tomorrow. I invite you to join me. For starters, let's behold and enjoy God's faithfulness (see Amy's post, Great is Thy Faithfulness

Psalm 71:21-22

21 You will increase my honor
and comfort me once again.

22 I will praise you with the harp
for your faithfulness, O my God;
I will sing praise to you with the lyre,
O Holy One of Israel.

I look forward to praying with you, tomorrow.
