We are the Church

Although we often confuse this issue, church is not a building. In the book of Acts, "church" was used to describe the people that gathered together to worship. In modern times, we mistakenly refer to a building as a church. Adhering to scripture, it would be accurate to say that the church meets at a worship center, home, school, auditorium or something of that nature.

What this means, is that all who are gathering together (whether online or physically) to lift up Adam in prayer, are in fact, the church. What does the Book of Acts tell us about the believers that gathered together as (not "in") a church?

Acts 4: 32-35

32All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. 33With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. 34There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.
