Eve of Fasting: Let's Do Something Great

"The greatest thing anyone can do for God or man is pray."
~S.D. Gordon

We are anticipating our weekly "gathering" of those fasting and praying for Adam. Some have already begun fasting, while others will start within the next few hours. Of course, you are welcome to join us at any time on Wednesday. If your schedule does not permit a full-day fast, skip one meal. Take that time to lift up Adam and his family in prayer.

As I have previously stated, we will continue to pray for Adam's full recovery. Throughout the next
24 to 36 hours, be bold. Continue to ask God for a complete healing. Tonight, I would ask for you to consider a shorter-term prayer request. In her post, Another Day in ICU, Amy asked the following:

"Please continue to pray that the fluid drains or absorbs so that Adam does not have to endure another operation."

Let's unite in prayer with this request. This evening, let's make it our focus. And, each time we pray during the next 36 hours, be sure to ask God that the fluid on Adam's brain would drain or be absorbed so that he does not have to endure another surgery.

I look forward to praying with you, this evening and tomorrow. As the prolific devotional writer, S.D. Gordon stated (quote at top of page), it is the greatest thing we can do.

Let's do something great for God and Adam!

"One night alone in prayer might make us new men,
changed from poverty of soul to spiritual wealth, from trembling to triumphing."
~Charles Spurgeon
