Breakfast: Adam's City

TobyMac describes the "City" in City on Our Knees, not as a literal city. Rather, it is a moment when we all come together, and turn our attention to what unites us -- our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I feel that we have built our own city over the past eigth months. We set aside time from our busy schedules; we overcome geographical separation; forget about theological differences...and pray for Adam's recovery. When we unite in fasting and prayer, we are Adam's City. Today, let's be his city on our knees.

This morning, find a quiet place to kneel and pray. As we unite as a city, let's praise God. Praise Him for keeping Adam alive the past eight months. Praise Him for providing Adam with another two months at Spaulding. Praise Him for the fantastic progress Adam made this past week by speaking his first words. Let's honor God by getting down on our knees and praising Him!

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
praise him, all creatures here below;
praise him above, ye heavenly host;
praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Amen.

Be sure to check back at 10:50 a.m. Eastern Time (7:50 a.m. Pacific) for a special prayer request.
