Eve of Fasting: Jesus Prayed...

...So should we!

Mark 1:35

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

In one sentence, we receive a very valuable life lesson — make prayer our priority each day. Before breakfast, or in the case of a fasting day, instead of breakfast.

Luke 5:15-16

Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses. But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.

Even when we are busy (Jesus was busy with the crowds gathering and expecting miracles), we learn from Jesus to withdraw and pray.

So, don't try to decide if I am convincing enough for you to pray, tomorrow. Rather, rely on the examples provided by Jesus, Himself. Some of you doubt. When in doubt, pray!

I pray that you'll join us, tomorrow, as we praise God for the remarkable work He has done in Adam, and petition Him for continued healing.
