Breaking the Fast: Captured by Grace...

...And Embraced by God's Warmth

John 1:16-17

Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

On three ocassions, yesterday, I took short prayer breaks at work. I stood in the window and let the warm sun shine on me while talking with God. Each time, I thanked God for His grace.

Wrapped in Your mercy I want to live and never leave

I am held by how humble

Yet overwhelmed by Your majesty

Captured by grace and now I'm finding

I am free

You are marvelous God

And knowing You is everything

As I walked back to my desk after one of the breaks, I told God that the heat from the sun felt like a warm embrace from Him. And, I really did not want to return to my desk. I wanted to stay in His warm embrace.

Oh basking in the glory shining from Your face

And every time I get another glimpse of Your heart

I realize it's true

As you can see, part of my experience with God, yesterday, is captured by Big Daddy Weave in the song, Every Time I Breathe.

Thank you for praying with us, yesterday. Although we go our separate ways until next week, keep praying for Adam's full recovery. Today, pray for Amy and Mackenzie as Mackenzie has her first meeting with the Child Life Specialist at Spaulding and Amy has Adam's first team meeting. Pray that God would guide both discussions.

We will reconvene next Tuesday evening. Until then...
