...as we wait upon the Lord
Isaiah 40:28-31
28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
A Prayer
"Dear Lord,
In our trials, Lord, you are doing and completing your work. Your work is in our hearts teaching us your lessons of love, forgiveness, patience, kindness, goodness, meekness and self control. You are purifying us! We often ask that you remove the trial from us and question why you don't? Perhaps your work is not completed as of yet. I will trust you in the trial and I will trust your timing as well. How Lord, can our minds possibly conceive of the work you are doing on our behalf? Today, I will give you thanks.
Amen."
~Good Morning Devotions, Debbie Griner
For Adam...
1. Pray for all the medical professionals caring for Adam. Ask God to provide them with wisdom, discernment, and compassion that they make decisions for Adam's care.
2. Pray that any infection would be treated properly and that it would be driven out Adam's body.
3. Pray that Adam will be able to return to Spaulding Rehab Hospital, soon, and that he will make great strides over the next week.
Let's unite together, again, at lunch time.
Thank you, Debbie, for sharing your prayer with us.
