Wednesday is gone; hope isn't!

Good morning!

Reading Amy's blog post (Praising, Rejoicing, and Praying), last night, was quite encouraging. In addition to other positive developments, Adam went four days without storming!

As we go our separate ways for another week, keep praying for Adam. As we do, let's also keep in mind what Hillary wrote (Usefullness or Relationship?), yesterday, part of which appears below:

"That said, let our prayers today be an outpouring of our love for God, not a matter of duty or indication of usefulness. Let us concentrate on being in right relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Let us rejoice in that relationship, for ourselves, for Adam and Amy. While we continue to pray for Adam's healing, let us also pray that our lives would be marked by a whole-hearted, passionate pursuit of God and knowing Him more intimately."(emphasis added)

We cannot pray "hard enough" for Adam to be healed. Yet, God can find favor with our petitions and pleas. Let's keep praying that God will be honored and glorified as a result of Adam's accident, suffering, and recovery. And, let's keep working on building a right relationship with Him. Growing our relationships with God, and more meaningful prayer lives go hand-in-hand.

I am excited and grateful for Adam's progress this week. Great are you, Lord!

Thank you for praying with us. As I wrote in Tuesday night's post (The Importance of Prayer), I spend more time praying for Adam on Wednesdays than I do other days of the week. It is my hunch that may be true for some of you, too. If so, please schedule time to join us next Wednesday. In the meantime, keep praying for Adam and his family. Pray for specific issues, such as protecting Adam from storming, keeping C. diff out Adam's body, or for progress in Adam's therapy. Yet, most of all, keep praying for a full recovery.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
